Support IEEE Magnetics Society Development, Talent, and Innovation Initiatives
The Development, Talent, and Innovation Fund was established by the IEEE Magnetics Society in 2021 to support students, facilitate professional development, and broaden its engagement with industry and geographic regions.
The IEEE Magnetics Society currently uses revenue from the fund, under the auspices of the IEEE Foundation, to support its annual summer school for graduate students. Lectures are given by academic and industrial technical leaders in magnetics, most of whom spend the entire week interacting with the students. The summer school rotates among the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Students are competitively selected from all over the world, and most of their expenses are covered. Students develop skills, knowledge, friendships, and collaborations that endure their entire careers.
