Bijoy K Kuanr received Ph.D. degree in Electronic Sciences from the University of Delhi, India in 1993. In 1994 he joined the Microwave Electronics Laboratory of Professor Dr. Güther Nimtz at University of Köln, Germany as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate through German Academic Exchange Services. From 1999-2002 he joined Research Center Jülich Germany and worked with Professor Dr. Peter Grünberg (2007 Physics Nobel Laureate) as a Guest Scientist in the field of “Spintronics” and was involved in the European Union mega project on "Giant Magneto Resistance (GMR) Sensors for READ-WRITE head of computer Hard-Disk". From 2002 to 2013 he joined University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, USA as a Researcher (adjunct faculty).

Thereafter, since January, 2014, he joined Special Centre for Nanoscience, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, as a Professor.
At University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, USA, he worked on "Spintronics and Magnetic MMIC fabrication and testing" for US Army Research Organization (US-ARO). His main research deals with electromagnetic theory and measurement techniques applied to nano-materials and nano-devices, and circuits at microwave, millimeter-wave. He has more than 30 years of experimental as well as theoretical research experience in the field of Nanoelectronics/Spintronics; such as Microwave Monolithic Devices with magnetic nanostructures, GMR-Sensor, bio-sensor, etc.

He has more than 120 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact international journals and more than 50 Invited-talks at various International conferences organized at USA, Germany, France and UK.
