To recognize outstanding service to the IEEE Magnetics Society and magnetics community.
A single annual award of $2,000, plus up to $500 for travel to the award ceremony, and life membership in the IEEE Magnetics Society. If more than one recipient, the prize would be split equally among up to three recipients, and each recipient would receive $500 travel award.
Funded by the IEEE Magnetics Society through an existing endowment administered by the IEEE Foundation which should be sufficient to fund in perpetuity. If these funds are not sufficient, the IEEE Magnetics Society will directly fund the difference.
At the INTERMAG conference during the Plenary Session in the year following the selection of the awardee.
Established in 2016
Evaluation of the candidates regarding their service contributions pertinent to the Award. The committee discusses each candidate whether the contribution is significant and merits consideration for the award.

2024
For fostering a dynamic and diverse IEEE Magnetics Society by supporting, encouraging, and educating the human beings behind the scientists and engineers, especially students.
2023
For exceptional performance in budget management and development of new initiatives as Finance Chair of the IEEE Magnetics Society.
2022
For exceptional services to the IEEE Magnetics Society as seen in her outstanding leadership during the pandemic, her dedicated efforts to modernize the Society and implement new ways of work and communication through virtual conferences as well as promotion of professional and leadership development opportunities for early career professionals and women in magnetism.
2021
For tremendously strengthening IEEE Magnetics Society outreach worldwide and dedicated efforts to engage new people in service to the society.
2020
In recognition of a decade of outstanding service as Editor of the Magnetics Society Newsletter, and in particular for transforming it into a modern and engaging communications vehicle that is available through multiple channels.
2019
For twenty years of leadership in the Magnetics Society as Editor and Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Magnetics and as an elected member of the Administrative Committee.
2018
For advancing international participation and inclusive representation in the IEEE Magnetics Society.
2017
For establishing the structure and enhancing the international impact of major technical conferences sponsored by the IEEE Magnetics Society.
2016
For two decades of leadership in advancing the quality and operational excellence of the Magnetics Society and IEEE publications.
