Cristina Bran is a graduate of the International Max Planck Research School who completed her PhD studies at IFW Dresden, Germany. In 2010, she was awarded a PhD in Physics for her research on the magnetization processes of AF-coupled multilayers. After a postdoc at Uppsala University, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow and later as a researcher at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid. Here, she developed a new research line with a focus on the nanomagnetism of 3D materials, which have potential applications in spintronics. Since 2024, she has been a senior researcher at the Aragón Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA-CSIC) in Spain, where she continues her research on 3D magnetic nanostructures and their applications in spintronics, biomedicine, and energy transfer.
