I became an associate professor on 1996, and a full professor on 2000, in Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China; also I am a joint distinguished professor in College of Physics and Electronic Information, Inner Mongolia Normal University since 2018. My area is the theory of applied magnetism, i.e., micromagnetics; the focus of the theory is to understand the nonlinear magnetic properties of soft and hard M-H loops, domains and domain motion, and their relationship with the polycrystalline microstructure and fundamental magnetic properties. I am also interested in the area of magnetic recording.
