Ruth V. Sabariego is currently an Associate Professor at EnergyVille, within the Department of Electrical Engineering at KU Leuven, Belgium. She graduated in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Vigo, Spain, in 1998. In October 2000, she joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Liège, Belgium, where she obtained her PhD degree in 2004. Following her PhD, she continued at the University of Liège as a post-doctoral researcher until October 2013, when she joined KU Leuven. Her expertise encompasses applied mathematics, computational electromagnetics with a focus on multi-physics and multiscale modelling, and the design of open-source scientific software. Ruth is the (co-) author of approximately 100 journal papers and around 190 conference proceedings, with an h-index of 22.
