Sujoy Roy is Staff Scientist and X-ray scattering Group leader, and Co-PI at the Non Equilibrium Magnetic Materials Program, Materials Sciences Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Berkeley, California, USA. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at the Physics Department of UC Santa Cruz. He got PhD in Engineering Physics from Southern Illinois University, and postdoc at UC San Diego. Started his career as a staff scientist at SSRL in SLAC National Accelerator Lab before moving to Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Sujoy uses high brightness and intensity of third generation synchrotron sources to perform resonant coherent X-ray magnetic scattering on energy efficient and complex multifunctional magnetic systems.
