Dear Students,
The 2026 IEEE Magnetics Society Summer School will take place at The American University in Cairo, Egypt, representing the first time it is being held on the African continent.
Egypt boasts of being the “Mother of the World,” and within it, Cairo can be viewed as the bustling heart and vibrant capital of not just Egypt, but of North Africa, the Middle East, and the entire Arab world. Home to the only remaining wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Great Pyramid of Giza – Cairo also brags of monuments representing the coalescence of many historical empires across ancient and modern times, including Pharaonic Rule, Greek and Roman Empires, and the Islamic Empires. These historical sights, alongside a rich culture of music, dance, and delicious cuisine will provide an unforgettable magnetics summer school experience.
The Magnetics Summer School offers graduate students a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts about cutting-edge magnetics research. Apply now and, if selected, you will have the chance to attend lectures on the fundamentals and applications of magnetism in a city where ancient and modern times mix seamlessly to pique your every interest.
Looking forward to seeing you in Cairo!
